I've recently bought Pokemon Platinum from Japan but I didn't realize the game would be in Japanese and that you can't change it. I first tried emulating the game on a phone but that was a horrible experience. Next I tried following a walkthrough on YouTube but that got really boring quickly and then I just decided to play it normally but not understanding what's going on around you makes for a sour experience. I then remembered that Pokemon games have strategy guides in which the main walkthrough and other information are featured but it isn't so easy to find. After that I thought about getting the DP guide or waiting for a potential BDSP guide but the games are all different and for platinum you really need a platinum guide. Why I'd want this guide is to know how to walkthrough this game and where to go after everything, to see how the post game works, to know what items people have like HMs or TMs, to know what moves a Pokemon has etc. The reason why I'm making this post though is because this is not a super cheap magazine anymore, with the rising value of the game, the guide has also become more expensive and I actually wanted to use the money to expand my game collection. So should I buy this guide or should I use the money on other stuff like games? Let me know your thoughts in the comments and thanks for your help.
